Four Pilot Tones
Kronback Tracers P4 is a powerful, handheld signal generator for measuring
and faultfinding in return-path CATV networks. It provides up to four pilot tones in the 2 - 67 MHz frequency range, and it is easy to set the four pilot tones in steps of 10 kHz within the frequency range.

Heavy-Duty Housing
The compact, heavy-duty housing of P4 has a high-contrast monochrome display for optimal readability, and four robust menu buttons for fast and easy navigation. The housing is protected to IP65 standard and operates in a wide temperature range, making it usable in all kinds of weather and climates.

Battery Powered
One of the main advantages of P4 is its battery capacity. It has seven hours guaranteed, continuous operation after a full charge. The DC connector
accepts any voltage from 6 – 30V, enabling the P4 to be charged directly from standard car power outlet or from the DC power supply delivered with the P4. If the DC power supply is not connected, theP4 will charge from the USB connector.

Superposition of Pilots
The P4 has full control over the phase and frequency relation between the pilot tones, and the four tones can be added to generate one pilot tone for higher levels.

Password Protection & Resets
The P4 always starts in the mode in which it was left before powerdown.
If the password function is enabled, this start-up mode cannot be changed until a certain combination of the front panel buttons is pressed. During normal operation, multiple presets can be saved and recalled.

Frequency Hopping
Up to four pilot tones can be chopped. This ensures that upstream laser equipment is not loaded with the weight of four simultaneous pilot tones. The frequency and level of the four chopped pilot tones are just as easy to set as in constant mode.
